Spain is to ask that Gibraltar be placed back on the black list of financial havens, with the Spanish tax authority, Hacienda, considering that the Rock is not cooperating in the fight against money laundering.
Spain is to ask the OECD, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, to list Gibraltar as ‘uncooperative’, with a Hacienda spokesman saying that no advances have been made in collaboration over fiscal and tax matters, and that Gibraltar remains opaque, inaccessible and impenetrable.

A boat carrying 56 undocumented illegal migrants has reached Los Cristianos undetected by the radar posts on the coast.Local residents contacted the 112 emergency to report their arrival at around 1am. Among the occupants are believed to be 11 juveniles, and it’s understood that one of the passengers was transferred to the health centre in Mojón for treatment of non-serious injuries. In a report, the Human Rights Association of Andalusia (APDH-A) have estimated that 3,500 people have died in the perilous journey over the Sahara or lost at sea trying to reach Spain and the Canaries.
